Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how we use the information that we collect about you.

Fife Council Employability Services uses personal information provided by you to deliver an employability service.

Employability Services needs to process personal data to enter into contractual funding agreements.

In some cases Employability Services need to process personal data to ensure that we are complying with our contractual arrangements and statutory function.

Employability Services collects a range of personal and special category information. This includes: Name, Address, DOB, NI number, Disability or health condition, ethnic origin, gender, religion, employment status, start/end programme dates, details of qualifications, skills, experience and employment history, entitlement to work in the UK, ex-offenders, care leaver.

Employability Services collects this information in a variety of ways, for example, application forms, CVs/Resumes, passports/identity documents, via interviews or other forms of assessment.

Client information will be shared as necessary to achieve Service delivery funding compliance. This includes Training Providers, Colleges, Employers, Third Party Sector, Funding Providers, Opportunities Fife Partnership, Scottish Government and Skills Development Scotland.

It may be possible for the system used for managing clients on training courses to be accessed from outside the EEA.

Employability Services may also collect personal data from third parties, such as Employers, Training Providers, Support Agencies and relevant Partners.

You are obliged to provide Employability Services with personal data in order for us to deliver an employability service. In the event that we did not request and use this information then it would not be possible to carry out this service.

The Council will not keep your information for longer than is necessary. In some instances the law sets the length of time information has to be kept. The Council has a retention schedule which sets out how long we hold different types of information. This can be found here.
