This Privacy Notice explains how we use the information that we collect about you.
Fife Council uses the personal information provided by you in your business travel application in order to process travel required.
The personal information we gather and use includes name, contact details and date of birth. We may also require information on disability if required for access or special requirements for travel or accommodation and passport information if required to book a flight.
Where necessary, we may obtain your personal information from a third party making a booking on your behalf. We provide your information to our travel agent to enable us to deliver this service, including the travel agent contracted to provide travel for the Council who will use this information to book with companies providing air, rail, bus, car hire, tube, ferry, taxi travel and accommodation. We may also use your information to book direct with travel providers. This may include travel providers outside the EU.
In the event that we did not request and use this information then it would not be possible to book travel required as part of your employment.
The Council will not keep your information for longer than is necessary. In some instances the law sets the length of time information has to be kept. The Council has a retention schedule which sets out how long we hold different types of information. This can be found here.
