Frozen pipes advice

If your boiler has stopped working due to the recent freezing temperatures, then there is a good chance that your condensate pipe has frozen. Luckily, this isn't a big problem, and it can be easily resolved without the need for an engineer.

What is the condense pipe and where is it located?

The condensate pipe is usually a white overflow pipe, like the one from a washing machine or sink waste pipe. It allows your boiler to dispose of condensation to an outside drain via this pipe. If the liquid from the expelled condensation freezes over, it can cause a blockage. The Condense can be found outside your property leading out from your boiler.

Please refer to our step-by-step guide on how to thaw a condensate pipe.
