Kelty Community Centre

Kelty Community Centre

Fife Council Property Services, working in partnership with Building Services, are proud to have successfully delivered this new community hub project for the people of Kelty. The project team also included Community Learning and Development and Education and Children’s Services School Estates.

The project was delivered in three phases

  • Phase One – Formation of two additional classrooms within the school and provision of temporary classrooms for the increased school role, which also cleared the site for the proposed centre
  • Phase Two – Demolition of the existing community centre
  • Phase Three – Construction of the new community centre, school extension and floodlight all-weather football pitch

Property Services provided Architectural, Civil Engineering, Clerk of Works and Quantity Surveying Services (in partnership with Building Services).

The new community centre provides the public and school with an extensive range of new facilities, which include a Games Hall, Library, Youth Club, Crèche, Dance Studio, Fitness Room, Meeting Rooms, Local Office and Learning Kitchen. The building maximises natural lighting levels and ventilation to ensure a pleasant spacious and safe environment for all users.
