Homes for Ukraine

UK Government Homes for Ukraine

If you’re interested in offering a rented property or space in your own home, please visit the UK Government’s Home for Ukraine Scheme.

Before you agree to a hosting arrangement, you should carefully consider what this means for you and your family.  This guide covers areas to think about and may be of use: NACCOM Hosting Good Practice Guide: Part 1 - Key Considerations For Prospective Hosts

Some useful information is also available through the Reset Hosting toolkit, however please be aware some content may be more tailored towards England: Homes for Ukraine Sponsor Toolkit

We’re working as quickly as possible to put services in place to support Homes for Ukraine.

If you are a host/sponsor and have been matched with a Ukraine arrival through the Homes for Ukraine scheme:

  • We will be made aware of pending sponsor arrangements when the visa application is submitted
  • We will complete our Local Authority checks as quickly as possible. Our checks do not affect the visa application
  • We are beginning to contact hosts however some processes continue to be developed – we thank you for your patience
  • There is a page with useful information on our Enhanced Disclosure process, including identification requirements. We encourage you to visit this page so can familiarise yourself with the process and find out what you will be asked to provide
  • Don't initiate or organise your own Enhanced Disclosure check, we will contact you
  • If your Ukraine arrival has arrived, or you have a confirmed date of arrival and we have not been in contact with you, please complete the Tell us about Homes for Ukraine Arrival form below and we will contact you as a priority
  • We are unable to respond to general enquiries about Homes for Ukraine at this time. Please see our FAQs page for more information
  • We continue to develop processes for Property Checks and these will begin soon
  • The host ‘thank you’ payments will only be issued once all checks have been completed. We are currently working on a process for issuing these payments
  • We are arranging and carrying out initial visits with Ukraine arrivals to ensure they are settling in well and, if required, to provide other immediate help and support
