Phishing email asking for documentary evidence

We have been made aware by the Association of Electoral Administrators that some electors within the UK have received a phishing email. It asks for documentary evidence to process your register to vote application.

The phishing emails are being sent from electoral@register-to-vote.electoral.agency, however similar email addresses may also be used.

The emails look like a request for documentary evidence. It asks you to provide documents to verify your address and identity, such as a passport.
