UK Shared Prosperity Fund

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) in Fife is a multi-year investment programme focused on building pride in place, supporting local business, and enhancing skills.

The council manages the local allocation, targeting projects that align with the Plan4Fife, Fife Economic Strategy, and community wealth building.

Who can apply

  • businesses (SMEs) based in Fife, looking to increase turnover, create jobs, or improve digital efficiency/sustainability
  • third sector and community groups, focused on local community projects, climate action, or town centre improvements
  • tourism/hospitality sector, to enhance visitor experience through digital technology

Eligible work

Funding can be used for activities from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026, including continuations of existing, successful projects.

Projects in Fife often focus on:

  • community wealth building
  • Mid Fife regeneration
  • specific sustainability initiatives (2025-26)

Many grants require you to be working with a Business Gateway Fife adviser.

Projects should align with community wealth building, net-zero goals, or economic growth.

Some grants, such as the Tourism Digital Efficiency Grant, require at least 20% contribution from the business.

Applications are typically managed through the council or Business Gateway Fife.
