Local community planning

Local community planning is about making a positive difference to the communities we live in. We do this by bringing together local communities with public, voluntary, private sector and other organisations to improve our communities and quality of life.

Who can apply

Community Groups with constitutions and voluntary or charitable organisation can apply.

Projects should meet some of the priorities of your local area’s community plan. There are individual plans for each area on our Local Community Plans page.

Who cannot apply

We cannot fund:

  • individuals
  • gaps in budget as a result of a savings decision made by Fife Council or other Community Planning Partner
  • services provided on a Fife-wide basis
  • projects where financial gain goes to individuals
  • projects that don’t meet at least one of our local outcomes

Criteria

Your group should be formally constituted with clearly defined aims and objectives, and either:

  • a Fife Community Planning Partner
  • a new organisation just forming (for start-up costs only)

You should be able to show evidence of community benefit and clear links to outcomes of the Local Community Plan for the area.

Applications should be clearly costed with details of likely suppliers, if applicable.

Eligibility

Examples of the types of projects we will be looking to support are:

  • taking a pride in your community
  • improvements to community facilities
  • community Events
  • employability Initiatives
  • vulnerable or disadvantaged groups in a community
