Support for Businesses

There is support for businesses with start up and for existing businesses, throughout Fife. We provide advice and help in a wide range of areas:

  • Setting up programmes to help upskill your workforce.
  • Community based programmes which can regenerate areas in Fife and create new jobs.
  • Provide information on available land for development and properties for lease.
  • Economic information to you make the right decisions.
  • Giving access to grants and loans to help start or grow your business.

Business Gateway Fife

Business Gateway Fife provides practical help and a wide range of advice and support for new and growing businesses in Fife. During these challenging times, we can direct you to funding and packages of assistance to help you sustain your business.


Our Planning and Economic Development team within the council operate under one brand - InvestFife. Our goal is to create a flexible business infrastructure for both new and growing businesses throughout Fife.

We are Scotland’s third-largest local authority and our vision is to make Fife a truly great place to live and work. The council works with other public, private and third sector organisations to make the region a better place to live, work, study, visit and invest. It provides 900 different services to over 365,000 people across Fife, from education, housing and community services to environment and transportation.
