Project Details

The new development at Jenny Gray House, Lochgelly, has been built on the site of the former Jenny Gray House care home. It provides a mix of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom amenity and wheelchair flats and bungalows. The development has been specifically designed to meet the housing needs of older people, and allocation of these properties will reflect that.

Amenity properties have been fitted with wet floor showers, while the wheelchair properties have both wet floor showers and specially designed kitchens with adjustable worktops. They are designed to meet a range of accessibility needs.

This development was one of the final projects from Fife Council's Phase 3 Affordable Housing Programme, which has provided 3,500 new affordable houses across Fife. The project was delivered for the Council in partnership with Robertson Partnership Homes.

The new homes offer tenants with high quality, energy efficient homes, which includes solar panels to help reduce utility costs. In addition, all properties meet Scottish Government Sustainability standards, Housing for Varying Needs, and Secure by Design standard.
