St Marie's is a Roman Catholic Primary. We nurture an inclusive ethos which is underpinned by the Gospel Values of love, care, forgiveness and compassion.  Our school family is made up of a large number of bilingual children (33%) which helps to create a wonderfully rich cultural context for learning.

St Marie's RC Primary has a growing reputation within the community.  Over the past few years the school has increased in size from 11 to 14 classes.  Visitors regularly comment on the warmth of the welcome, purposeful atmosphere and confidence shown by our pupils.  Attainment has improved over the past 3 years in each of the 3 key areas; writing, maths, and reading.

We are very proud of our school family and look forward with enthusiasm to building on the school's many strengths and driving forward developments and initiatives over the next few years.

St Marie's is a denominational school and as such, has a wide geographical & socio-economic catchment area incorporating all areas of Kirkcaldy, Kinghorn and Burntisland.

The school is one of the cluster of primary schools feeding St Andrew's High School.  The school has links with three RC parishes; St Marie's, St Pius X and St Joseph's, Burntisland.

St Marie's was built in 1975.  The building remains well-maintained and attractive. There are extensive playing fields surrounding the school building, which consists of 14 classrooms.

• Morning Session - 9.00am - 12.35pm
• Interval - 10.40am - 10.55am
• Afternoon Session - 1.20pm-3.00pm

Drop off

If you are thinking about using a car to get to/from school remember that parking near schools is strongly discouraged for safety reasons. Look for alternative drop off points, away from the school, where you and your children can walk the remaining distance.

If you must drive your child to school, please use the park and stride at Overton Mains/Community Centre.

St Marie's Primary actively promotes the wearing of school uniform, which has been chosen in consultation with parents.  The items are smart and practical for the activities in a primary school classroom and playground, and allow for an element of personal choice and comfort.  Our uniform is available from Border Embroideries on Kirkcaldy High Street, or online at myclothing.com.
