We nurture faith through our Catholic ethos and Gospel values, encouraging respect for self, others and our world. We support children to develop their spiritual awareness, moral values and understanding of their place within the wider community.

We promote friendship by fostering kindness, inclusion and positive relationships. Our school is a welcoming and supportive environment where every child feels valued, safe and respected, and where teamwork and compassion are actively encouraged.

We encourage ambition by setting high expectations and supporting all children to achieve their full potential. Through engaging learning experiences and a strong focus on personal achievement, we inspire children to aim high, take pride in their successes and persevere when faced with challenges.
Together, our vision and values guide our decisions, our relationships and our approach to learning and teaching, ensuring that every child at St Joseph’s is supported on their journey to success.

The present school, which replaced the original building erected in 1914, was opened in 1960 and is all on the one level. It consists of seven classrooms and one gym/dining room, with stage, which is used for concerts, assemblies and physical education . We also have a Support for Learning Base and a toilet and shower adapted for disabled access.

All areas of the building are accessible for wheelchair users.

School Day is 9am - 3pm

• Morning break - 10:40am - 10:55am
• Lunch - 12:35pm - 1:20pm
