Pitreavie Primary School is a non-denominational, co-educational school with enhanced provision for children with Additional Support Needs and Nursery pupils from 3 years of age onwards.

Accommodation comprises of a two-storey building surrounding an open rectangular garden/play area. This secure area can be utilised by pupils from all stages and is a popular location for environmental activities. The school benefits from extensive, attractive and well maintained landscaped green areas and playing fields. There are 17 classrooms, a dual purpose hall, (equipped with a stage and professional sound system) an ICT room, music/resources room , multi-purpose mobile classroom and office accommodation. The main entrance foyer is used as a reception and as a display area for children's work.

At Pitreavie Primary School our main goal is to encourage and support pupils to fulfil their potential in all areas of school life.  We aim to create an ethos where pupils and staff feel valued and work with parents to provide all children with a high quality standard of education.

Details of curriculum developments can be found in our School Improvement Plan (available from the Headteacher). Specialist teachers of Music, Drama, P.E. and Art make regular visits to school. Individual pupils from P6 upwards may benefit from tuition in Clarsach and from P5 upwards in Double Bass or Cello.

Pitreavie Primary School values greatly its partnership with parents. Our Parent Council provides tremendous support in addressing a wide range of issues and raise funds throughout the year. Pitreavie Primary offers an extensive programme of extra curricular activities for pupils including Netball, Karate, Hip Hop, Football, and Hockey.

Pitreavie Primary School is active in the wider community and has well established links with many local organisations.
