Kirkcaldy North Primary School is a small school, set in a beautiful, historic building in the heart of Kirkcaldy. It is a diverse school, with a focus on equity and equality for all. We have a passionate staff team, who work collaboratively with the entire school community to ensure we are meeting the needs of our children and families.

At Kirkcaldy North, we are pleased to promote child-led learning experiences so that children are proud of their work. The school benefits from a great relationship with our families and the Parent Council. They work together to make sure children get the best school experience. We want you to feel welcome from the minute you walk into our stunning historic building.

We use Success Criteria so that we know we are becoming Successful Learners. We use class charters, and we learn across the different areas of the curriculum, so that we can learn to be Responsible Citizens. Adults in our school encourage us to be Confident Individuals. We are Effective Contributors through participating in wider achievement opportunities. For us, a successful life means we have the skills for learning, life and work; now and in the future. The building was built in 1906. Pupils and adults who have mobility difficulties can access the playground and entrance to the school as well as the dining area. A disabled toilet is available on the ground floor of the main school building.

Daily Timetable

SCHOOL HOURS

• Morning - 9.00am to 12.35pm
• Interval - 10.40am to 10.55am
• Lunch - 12.35pm to 1.20pm
• Afternoon - 1.20pm to 3.00pm
• Nursery - 9am to 3pm

School Uniform

Grey or black skirt/trousers, grey or black v-neck pullover, white shirt/blouse and school tie or white school polo shirt with black school sweatshirt. A black school fleece may also be worn.

Polo shirt, sweatshirt and fleece may be purchased at Beschoolwear, 36 High Street, Kirkcaldy.

P.E. KIT:T Shirt, Shorts and slip-on gym shoes. For Health & Safety purposes (during PE): earrings to be removed or taped over with Micropore tape, no jewellery to be worn and long hair should be tied back.

Outdoor gym - jogging trousers/sweatshirt, outdoor sports shoes.
