We aim to create a happy, stimulating, and caring environment in which children can learn to the best of their ability and develop confidence in themselves and others allowing them to sense a feeling of identity.

What we believe at Kettle

• Develop pupils who are happy in their learning experiences, who are responsible, socially aware citizens whose quality of achievement matches or surpasses their expectations.

Kettle Primary School and nursery are at the heart of the village and we value and foster a positive and productive relationship with our parents and the wider community.  Our active parent council group provides engaging and exciting opportunities for families and the community to come together to support the school. We value our parent’s opinions and gather their thoughts, ideas and views on a variety of topics throughout the year through the school and the parent council meetings.

We value the well established relationships and look forward to continuing to develop these.

Kettle Primary School and Nursery are situated in the village of Kingskettle, near Cupar in Fife.  Kingskettle is a rural community with a mixed catchment.  The school is Victorian and takes children from the village and surrounding hamlets.

The school has a maximum capacity of 125, arranged in 5 composite classes, situated around a central hall. The nursery is an annexe in the playground which can cater for 16 9am-3pm children, 8 morning and 8 afternoon children. The nursery is the designated nursery for the Pitlessie catchment area.  The school has an extensive hard-surfaced playground and a large garden.  The garden was built through funding received from Co-op and Grounds for Learning and formally opened in June 2003.

At Kettle Primary School we pride ourselves on our appearance.  We believe uniform enhances the appearance of our pupils and promotes a sense of belonging to the school ‘family’.

Our uniform consists of a white polo shirt, and navy sweatshirt with a school crest.

• Dark trousers/skirt/pinafore – black, navy or grey.
