About Kirkcaldy War Memorial Gardens
Area: 4 acres / 1.6 hectares
An attractive green space forming the frontage to the library and museum. The site is located at a major road junction, making it highly visible to passers-by. The museum building provides an attractive backdrop to the green space.
The site includes mature trees and shrubs, formal bedding displays, a surfaced network of paths, a war memorial, mown grass areas, and seating.
Growing Kirkcaldy has created a stumpery in the northeast corner.
Pedestrian access to the station is available through this green space, so footfall is likely to be high.
Park History
Celebrating its centenary in 2025, along with Kirkcaldy Galleries this is the town's War Memorial. The land was gifted by John Nairn and was the site of Balsusney House.
