The Fife Equipment Loan Store (FELS) works in partnership with NHS Fife and Fife Council. It provides equipment on loan to help people live safely and independently at home.

What equipment is available?

FELS can provide items such as:

• Beds
• Hoists
• Bathroom equipment
• Specialist equipment for children

This equipment helps to:

• Support people leaving hospital sooner
• Prevent hospital or long-term care admissions
• Help children access education

How to request equipment

A trained professional will assess your needs. This may include:

• Occupational Therapist
• Physiotherapist
• Community Nurse
• Social Care Worker

If equipment is needed, the professional will place an order. Once approved, Fife Council will arrange:

• Delivery
• Collection (uplift)
• Repairs

Returning equipment

All FELS equipment has a label. If you no longer need the equipment, please return it so it can be:

• Refurbished
• Recycled
• Reused by others in Fife
