Welcome to Windmill Community Use
Putting the Community in the Centre
Located slightly to the east but nonetheless still in the heart of Kirkcaldy, Windmill Community Campus offers a vibrant range of facilities and activities for all ages. Whether you're looking to get active or explore your creative side, we have something for everyone.
Our modern sporting facilities include a 4G pitch, astro turf, grass pitch, and both large and small games halls. We also provide versatile meeting rooms – perfect for events, clubs, and community gatherings.
We’re proud to work alongside local clubs and groups to deliver a diverse programme of activities. Join our in-house classes in art, sewing, crochet, photography, and music – ideal for learning something new or reigniting a long-lost passion.
At Windmill Community Campus, we believe in building a space shaped by the community, for the community. Got an idea for a class or activity you'd love to see? We’d love to hear from you! Or, if you have a talent or skill you'd like to share, why not get in touch about becoming a tutor?
This is your campus – a place to relax, connect, and grow. Let’s make it amazing, together.
Our facilities
4G astro pitch 11s and 7s and grass 11s
Our 4G astro pitch is floodlit and already hosts many local football teams for men, women and children.
With a surface built for action and all-weather durability, it’s perfect for 11s and 7s football, including:
- football matches
- training sessions
With bright floodlights and a high-performance surface, the 4G astro is the ultimate spot to train, play, and score goals in style.

- basketball
- general sports & fitness
Bring your energy, rally your crew, and make the games hall your go-to spot for fun and fitness.
Opened in 2016 the campus hosts many services in one building: customer service point, public library, Viewforth High School, Rosslyn Primary School and an excellent centre for Community Use after hours.
There are many activities which take place in the Campus throughout the day and into the evening. Mini Kickers meet on a Tuesday lunchtime in the games hall, and there are lots of extracurricular activities which take place after school every day.
Active schools have a varied and targeted programme which takes place in the late afternoons before Community Use starts in the evenings.
There is a lot on offer from art classes to yoga, alongside local sports clubs who meet and train in the Campus too.
