Putting the Community in the Centre
Inverkeithing High School Community Use offers a wide range of learning opportunities including sports, leisure, and educational classes. The centre offers a range of children’s classes including creative arts, music, and sports. Adult classes include languages, art, music, and swimming. Our reception is located in the sports building to the left of the main high school.
There is a community lounge, with hot drinks available.
Our Facilities
Assembly Hall
Our bright and spacious Assembly Hall features seating for up to 250 guests, making it an ideal venue for a wide range of events. The stage area provides a professional setting for:

Swimming Pool
Our 20 x 7 metre swimming pool is a fantastic facility, perfect for a variety of aquatic activities and events, including:

- Adult SwimFit classes
- Family swim and public swim sessions (school holidays only)
The pools size and versatility make it ideal for both recreational use and organised group sessions.
Games Hall
Our spacious four-court Games Hall is a versatile venue, most popular for indoor 5-a-side and Futsal but equally well-suited to a wide range of activities and events, including:
- Other sports and physical activities (e.g. basketball, netball)
- Floorball and football training
- Racket sports – badminton, short tennis, table tennis, and pickleball (free equipment hire available)
- Birthday parties
- Community and social events
- Dance and sports competitions
- Larger fitness classes
The hall's size and flexibility make it ideal for both recreational use and organised group sessions.
Gymnasium
Our smaller single-court gym halls offers a flexible and welcoming space, ideal for:
- Children’s birthday parties
- Fitness and yoga classes
- Gymnastics and acro classes
- Martial arts sessions
- Pre-school football classes
- Private dance hire
- Racket sports – badminton, short tennis, table tennis, and pickleball (free equipment hire available)
Twirling practice
These halls are perfect for clubs, instructors, or community groups looking for an adaptable indoor venue.
Multi-use Space (with small stage)
Our small performance space with a stage, located next to the Community Lounge, has a wide variety of uses, including:
- Children’s birthday parties
- Dance and performance practice
- Table Tennis
- Meetings
- Training courses
- Screenings and presentations
- Small exhibitions and community consultations
This space offers a multi-purpose space adjacent to our Community Facilities and Lounge.
Outdoor Floodlit Astro Pitch
Our floodlit 7-a-side astro pitch—equipped with goals—is available to hire for a wide range of activities, including:
- Athletics, fitness sessions, football, and rugby training
- Football parties
- Team sports and community fun days
Conveniently, there is parking space available next to the pitch. The pitch is ideal for both casual and organised events.
Meeting rooms/Classrooms
We have a variety of classrooms available to hire—including PC and drama rooms—in a range of sizes to suit different needs. These versatile spaces are ideal for:
- Meetings
- Activity classes
- Private consultations
- Training sessions
Many rooms are equipped with IT facilities, including PCs and interactive whiteboards, making them perfect for presentations and workshops. Hot water urns can also be provided upon request.
Large outdoor space
Inverkeithing High School offers extensive outdoor areas featuring both grass and tarmac surfaces, ideal for a variety of activities, including:
