General Location
Kirkcaldy Bus Station is located between Hunter Place and Hill Street in the town centre. There are 14 Stances. Stances 1 to 6 at the bus entrance with Stances 7 to 14 on the other side of the concourse. The main building lies between Stances 6 and 7.
Staffing Hours
The bus station is staffed at the following times:-
Monday to Friday 0730 - 2230
Saturday 0800 - 2230
Sunday 1200 - 2030
The Supervisor's Office is located within the main building between Stances 6 & 7. It is fitted with an induction loop for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.
The Bus Station Supervisor does not deal with any lost property on a bus. If you have lost something on a bus, please contact the Bus Operator.
Waiting Room
The waiting room is located in the main building and is only open during staffing hours. Seating is available in each stance shelter.
Parking
There is no designated car parking available at the Bus Station. There is, however, a Pay & Display car park on the roof of the Kirkcaldy Centre (Postings) Shopping Centre, which has direct access to Stance 4 via a 31-step stairwell (the stairwell is locked after 6pm, Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday). This car park is accessed from Hunter Street and has space for 261 cars and 10 Blue European Parking Badge Holders.
Drop-off / Pick-up points
Passengers can be dropped off or picked up in the Hunter Place lay-by adjacent to Stance 14.
Taxi Ranks
There is a rank on Hill Street at the rear of the Bus Station.
Bus Information
Each stance has shelters with timetable and route information. Information points are situated beside Stances 1, 6, 7 & 14 and within the main building. There is one interactive information screen on the outside front of the building. Real-time screen located opposite stance 12 and two screens located inside the Bus Station. The Supervisor's Office is inside the main building. Bus times can be obtained in advance by phoning Travelinescotland on 0871 200 2233.
Stance Access
The Bus Station can be accessed from Hunter Place directly onto Stances 1 or 14. From the Postings Shopping Centre, there is a 5° inclined ramp or 10 steps to Stance 6. The shopping centre car park has access to Stance 4 via a stairwell with 31 steps. Access is also possible through the Alzheimer Scotland Fife Dementia Centre opposite Stance 7 via a 5° inclined ramp and 22 steps. There are 5° inclined ramps from Hill Street adjacent to the Kirkcaldy Centre (Postings) and adjacent to the Alzheimer Scotland Fife Dementia Centre.
Toilets
The Ladies, Gents and Disabled toilets are located within the main bus station building. There is a 30p charge per use of the toilets. The disabled toilet can be accessed using a RADAR key. The opening hours are as follows:
Monday to Friday 0730 - 2200
Saturday 0800 - 2200
Sunday 1200 - 2000
Left Luggage
Luggage lockers are available in the waiting room. A non-returnable charge of £1 is levied for each locker.
Cycle Facilities
There are 10 cycle lockers adjacent to Stance 1 and a cycle rack for 4 bikes located on Hill Street. Users must contact the bus station supervisor for initial access to the lockers. Users must also provide their own padlock (lockers) or bike lock (rack).
In Post lockers
Are located adjacent to Stance 13.
CCTV
There are CCTV cameras positioned throughout the Bus Station but not in the Postings Car Park.

Other Information
There is also a Kiosk, selling newspapers and refreshments.
To reach the Railway Station, leave at Stance 1, cross Hunter Place onto Wemyssfield via a pedestrian crossing and walk 200 metres to the roundabout at Abbotshall Road. Cross the road and walk up the footpath beside the Museum to the Station forecourt. Walking time is less than 10 minutes.
There is a postbox next to the pick-up/drop-off point.
