Social Value

Once complete, Dunfermline Learning Campus will include two schools and a college but through Social Value, it’s bringing so much more!

Social Value is organisations giving back to their communities, making a real difference in people’s lives. This might include awarding contracts to local suppliers, staff volunteering for good causes or hiring apprentices.

The contractors, Balfour Beatty (college) and BAM (schools) are delivering Social Value across the Dunfermline Learning Campus project, some highlights so far include:

659 hours volunteering with local community groups

£56,384 donated to local community groups

£16m awarded to local businesses

814 weeks of apprenticeships

848 hours supporting young people at work

87 local people employed on site
