Pest control
What we don't treat
There are somethings we can't treat, these include:
- birds, including seagulls
- woodlice
- bed bugs
- earwigs
- slugs
- lice
- millipedes
- bats, as they are a protected species
- bees are an integral part of our ecosystem
If you have an issue with bees inside or outside your house, we will not treat them unless a swarm presents a danger.
We can provide telephone advice, or your request may be passed on to a local beekeeper.
Seagull nuisance
Seagulls, their nests, and their eggs are protected by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and Nature Conservation (Scotland) Act 2004.
Each year, during the summer months, we receive a number of complaints about the problems caused by seagulls.
To lessen the problems, we can all play our part by:
- not feeding the gulls, this includes by dropping litter
- gull-proofing your property before breeding season starts
