Fife Council is one of Scotland's largest local authorities, employing approximately 18,000 people who deliver essential services to communities across Fife. We are seeking an exceptional strategic leader to join our Finance & Corporate Services Directorate as our next Head of Human Resources.
This is a pivotal Chief Officer role with responsibility for shaping and delivering our workforce strategy, leading organisational transformation and ensuring we have the workforce, leadership capability and culture required to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Finance & Corporate Services, you will act as the Council's principal professional adviser on workforce, employment and organisational development matters. Working closely with Elected Members, the Chief Executive, the Council Leadership Team, senior managers and recognised Trade Unions, you will influence corporate decision-making and lead the people agenda across the organisation.
Leading a multidisciplinary HR service of approximately 124 employees and managing an annual budget of around £8 million, you will provide strategic leadership across workforce planning, organisational development, employee relations, health and safety, workforce transformation, digital HR and people analytics.
