Our Services

Across our Residential childcare service and housing support service, we support some of the most vulnerable children and young people in Fife who have experienced significant childhood adversity and who, at times, may experience significant distress and distressed related behaviours.

Our Residential childcare service has 10 establishments throughout Fife providing a therapeutic, nurturing and safe environment for children and young people. Young people are supported to attend education and be active within the local community.

Our Housing Support service offer accommodation to some of the most vulnerable young adults in Fife who have experienced significant childhood adversity. We offer accommodation for young adults who are ready to take the step from being care experienced to independence.

Job opportunities

  • Providing support to children & young people who have experienced significant childhood adversity and who, at times, may be experiencing significant distress and distress related behaviours.
  • Ensuring appropriate levels of supervision of young people. Residential Childcare Workers are expected to be with and alongside young people for the duration of their shift.
  • An ability to attune to the emotional states that young people display, being able to perceive emotional states underpinning behaviours and to think about what this may feel like for young people.
  • An ability to support young people to understand the emotional and behavioural states they display. This involves supporting young people to think about what their emotions and behaviours may mean.
  • Supporting young people to have an active social and leisure life. This means an active and enthusiastic willingness to get out and about with young people.
  • Supporting them to engage in community activities, sports, hobbies etc.
  • To uphold professional standards as detailed by the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate.

  • Provide high-quality support to young adults in a housing support setting
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual housing support plans
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all young adults
  • Be comfortable with lone working arrangements to meet the needs of young adults
  • Encourage young adults to engage in routines, education/ employment, activities, and personal development
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to meet young adults needs
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the well-being of all young adults
  • Uphold the principals of the Promise Scotland
  • Undertake physical tasks (for example cleaning and cooking) that promote a homely environment
  • Participate in various individual and group activities with young adults in the house
  • The successful applicant will be expected to uphold professional standards as detailed by the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all children.
  • Support children in their daily routines, including education, activities, and personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to meet the children's needs.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the well-being of all children.
  • To uphold the principals of the Promise Scotland
  • Undertake quality assurance and meeting regulator responsibilities tasks which includes overseeing care plans, medical and budgets
  • On call duties
  • Undertake supervision
  • Other duties as directed by the house manager and senior leadership team
  • Promote the physical tasks (for example cleaning, cooking and participating in various activities that promote a homely environment
  • The successful applicant will be expected to uphold professional standards as detailed by the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate.

  • This role involves a leadership & management role within our Residential Houses, providing support to children, young people and young adults
  • The successful candidate will be expected to oversee all leadership and management tasks within a house, including, provision of supervision, oversight of rota, attending professional meetings, overseeing care plan, chairing team meetings, financial responsibilities, health & safety management, medication audits and attendance management oversight
  • The successful candidate will be expected to ensure young people are supported by a team who provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for young people in their care.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to ensure their team provide appropriate levels of supervision and emotional attunement to young people, making themselves available to young people at times of need.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to work with young people to support them to manage risk.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to see beyond presenting behaviours and to demonstrate compassion and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external agencies to meet the children's needs.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the well-being of all children.
  • To uphold and implement the principals of the Promise Scotland
  • Undertake quality assurance and meet regulatory responsibilities tasks which includes overseeing care plans, medication and budgets
  • Other duties as directed by the senior leadership team which may include overseeing another house
  • Promote the physical tasks (for example cleaning, cooking and participating in various activities that promote a homely environment)
  • The successful applicant will be expected to uphold professional standards as detailed by the SSSC and the Care Inspectorate.
