Council Tax Online Account Changes

Since Monday 26 October we changed how people access their Council Tax Online Account through this Fife Council web site.

Existing Council Tax Online Account customers will need to set up a new Fife Council account which will be linked directly to a national mygovscot myaccount. The national account lets you use different online public sector services with one username and password, and you only need to register once.   Current account customers will be kept informed by email (see example).

At the end of October we are changing your Council Tax Online account.
From 26/10/20 you will need to set up access to your new account and confirm you wish to continue to receive paperless bills. This account will link to your MyGovScot myaccount.

If you have a MyAccount already you will be able to use this. If not, you should create one by visiting MyGovScot

What happens next?

Look out for an email when the new Council Tax account goes live (on or just after 26/10/20) to advise you of what to do next. If this does not arrive, please check your spam or junk mail folders.

Your new Council Tax Online Account allows you to:

  • Instantly access your Council Tax details and bills
  • Set up or change your direct debit and make payments online
  • Report changes
  • Sign up for paperless billing

If you already have a myaccount you will be able to use this and link the Council Tax Online Account to it. Follow the instructions when you click on the ‘Council Tax Online Account’ button.

If you do not currently have a myaccount you can create one by visiting . Once your account is verified you will be able link your accounts clicking on the Council Tax Online Account button..
