Doors Open Days is a national event run by the Scottish Civic Trust that is supported and co-ordinated by Fife Council for the venues that take part across Fife throughout September each year, and it’s all for free !
Fife Council continues its long standing support for the popular Doors Open Days annual event and the relaxation of Covid restrictions for 2021 sees a return of many venues, that are able, allowing public access to buildings were possible and appropriate.
However, following on from 2020s’ precedent of providing a digital, online, option for public access many buildings taking part in DOD this are continuing to provide digital material to allow a wider, indeed worldwide, audience to make a visit ‘online’ to Fife’s buildings.
This year there is a collaboration with the Fife Flax Festival that is taking place across Fife and many ‘flax’ related events and buildings are taking place and opening during the DOD weekends. These are highlighted throughout the brochure with the ‘Flax World’ icon and full details of these and other events can be found at ourlinenstories.com/events.
