Abbotsford East Wemyss

Abbotsford East Wemyss was built in 1998, where services are available for older people with physical and mental health needs as well as younger adults with learning difficulties in both residential and nursing care. Abbotsford East Wemyss is situated in the developed housing estate of Castle Gait with direct footpath access to the main road and nearby bus stops to Leven and Kirkcaldy.

The building is single storey accommodating 12 people in each of our 3 homes, Barra, Coll and Arran House. Each house provides individual bedrooms with en-suite, a lounge, kitchen and dining area.

Each bedroom is decorated to reflect the individual taste and choice. A comprehensive programme is developed on an individual basis for each resident to allow an active lifestyle within the local Levenmouth and surrounding areas.

Activities for residents include college courses, tenpin bowling, trips to the local shops, pubs etc. Activities are agreed with the residents through regular review meetings and where choice and diversity are discussed. Holidays are also planned with the residents and have included in the past trips to Florida, Ireland, Blackpool, Tummel Valley and Seton Sands.
