Abbotsford Cowdenbeath is a single storey building, accommodating 10 people in each of our three units, Tiree, Iona and Cumbrae. Each ’house’ provides individual bedrooms with en-suite, a lounge and dining area.

Respite care is a feature of the services offered in Cowdenbeath. It is also situated close to all amenities and easily accessible to outside leisure pursuits. Outings to bowling, swimming and pub lunches are some of the features in the monthly calendar. Within the same site Abbotsford Care have 2 other care facilities, Bute and Argyle House.

Bute House is a 10-person facility for adults with complex physical and mental health needs. The layout and design of Bute House was developed after extensive research and incorporates many features which give residents all the special needs they require.

Argyle House is a 6-person facility for adults with multiple and complex needs, including Learning Difficulties. All bedrooms are large enough to allow the residents to have a seating area in their own bedroom. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities.

Activities are agreed with the residents through regular review meetings and where choice and diversity are discussed. Holidays are also planned with the residents and have included past trips to Blackpool (Bond Hotel), Crathie Royal Dee Side and Seton Sands.
