A local traffic plan is being developed to keep key areas of the town free flowing and to allow all residents and businesses to go about their daily activities as usual with as little disruption as possible. We advise all residents and business owners to plan ahead and check local traffic restrictions to see how they or their customers might be affected.

Together with Fife Council, The R&A is developing a plan to enable construction work to commence. During the construction phase, on-course infrastructure will be built across the Old Course and its surrounding land between Monday 24 June and Wednesday 21 August.
The R&A will set up a site reporting office on Old Guardbridge Road so all deliveries can be managed safely to keep disruption on local roads to a minimum. The standard hours of operation during the build will be from 7am – 7pm each day, including weekends. Following the AIG Women’s Open, a phased de-rig will occur working to the same operational hours as the construction phase. This is anticipated to be completed by Sunday 15 September.
