St. Margaret's is delighted to be the first primary school in Scotland to host the travelling exhibition, Anne Frank: A History for Today. This exhibition is provided by Anne Frank Scotland, a partner charity of the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, founded by Otto Frank in 1957 so that his daughter's diary be used as a general force for good.
For many people, Anne Frank is a symbol of all those who died in the Holocaust and her diary continues to move and inspire people today as it did when first published.
This exhibition is targetted at the age group from P6 upwards. It draws on the power of Anne Frank's life and diary to challenge prejudice and reduce hatred, encouraging people to embrace positive attitutdes, responsibility and respect for others.
The Anne Frank exhibition will be in St. Margaret's RCPS from 9th - 13th March, where pupils from the school and some cluster schools will tour the exhibition and participate in a range of educational, challenging and relevant workshops.
"How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world." Anne Frank.
