Dunfermline Bus Station

General Location


Dunfermline Bus Station is on Queen Anne Street, between Carnegie Drive and High Street, and near the west entrance of the Kingsgate Shopping Centre. There are 14 stances.



Staffing Hours


The bus station is staffed at the following times:


Monday to Friday    0730 - 2230


Saturday        0800 - 2230


Sunday            1200 - 2030



The Supervisor’s Office is inside the main building between Stances 5 & 6 and is fitted with an induction loop for deaf and hard of hearing people.    


 


Waiting Room


The main building has seating for Stances 3 - 11. Shelters/canopies with seating are available for Stances 1, 2, 12, 13 & 14.







Parking


The nearest car parks are Pay & Display car parks on the north side of Carnegie Drive, either side of the Fire Station. Car access is from Bruce Street or Pilmuir Street. Both are 150m from the Bus Station via pedestrian crossings on Carnegie Drive and a short walk down Chapel Street/Pilmuir Street. 3 spaces for Blue European Parking Badge Holders are available on Douglas Street, 100m from Stance 1. A zebra crossing with dropped kerbs on Douglas Street assists the trip between these spaces and Stance 1.



Drop-off / Pick-up points


A drop-off/pick-up point is available on Queen Anne Street, 30m from the main entrance via a zebra crossing with dropped kerbs.



Taxi Ranks


The taxi rank is on Queen Anne Street, 30m from the main entrance via a zebra crossing with dropped kerbs.



Telephones


A telephone is located inside the building between the kiosk and luggage lockers, opposite the door to Stances 6 & 7. The phone accepts coins only.



Bus Information


Electronic departure screens and timetable information for Stances 3 - 11 are displayed inside the main building at the exit doors to each stance. Similar information for Stances 1, 2, 12, 13 & 14 is displayed at these stances. General bus information is located throughout the bus station.The Supervisor’s Office and Stagecoach Travel Shop are inside the main building between Stances 5 & 6.



Stance Access


Entry from Chapel Street is via a zebra crossing with dropped kerbs onto Stance 14. Entry from Douglas Street is via a zebra crossing with dropped kerbs and an 80m walkway onto Stance 1. The main entrance is on Queen Anne Street.



From the main building there is level access to all stances via the 5 doors leading onto Stances 3 - 11.



Toilets


Ladies, gents, disabled and baby changing facilities are available in the main building opposite the door to Stances 1 - 3. These are staffed toilets with a 30p charge. The toilets are open:

Saturday        0800 - 2200


Sunday            1200 - 2000



Left Luggage


Luggage lockers are available inside the main building opposite the Supervisor’s Office. A non-refundable charge of £1 is levied for each locker.



CCTV


There are CCTV cameras throughout the main building and for all stances.



Cycle Facilities


There are 10 cycle lockers adjacent to the main entrance on Queen Anne Street. Users must contact the bus station supervisor for initial access to the lockers. Users must also provide their own padlock.

The Stagecoach Travel Shop is inside the main building and is open:

Sunday            CLOSED



It is fitted with an induction loop for deaf and hard of hearing people.



A kiosk selling newspapers and refreshments is situated inside the building opposite Stances 6 & 7.



A cafe is available inside the main building beside the door leading to Stances 1 - 3.



A photo booth is located inside the main building opposite Stances 9 & 10.



A Post Office is located on Queen Anne Street.



The Kingsgate Shopping Centre can be accessed by crossing Douglas Street.



Access to the shops on High Street is possible by exiting the main building and crossing Queen Anne Street then using a lane or Cross Wynd down to the High Street.
